High-Pressure machines emit pure UV-A light, which oxidize the existing melanin in your skin.  You will see immediate results with a decreased risk of burning.  Use with a combination of medium-pressure to build a fantastic base tan.

Medium-Pressure machines use a mixture of low and high pressure bulbs.

Low-Pressure lamps emit a controlled amount of UV-B rays, which are more effective than UV-A only producing bulbs.  This means you will tan deeper for a longer amount of tan, seeing the full results in 24 hours.
